Bio.
Charlotte grew up in Spain where she first started ballet at the age of 3 and loved it so much, quickly joined up to the tap and jazz classes on offer too.
At the age of 19, with both performing and teaching qualifications under her belt, she moved to the big smoke to pursue a career in musical theatre which saw her work in London’s West End and tour the UK and Ireland for the next decade. For the last few years Charlotte’s been working in radio but the buzz of dancing never died, so she still teaches and takes part in classes whenever she can.
Charlotte particularly loves ballet, which she finds not only to be an incredible all body workout but also a hugely effective way to maintain core strength and stamina and release the stresses of the day. She’s always telling her friends how beneficial and fun ballet can be for anyone, no matter their age, fitness level or gender and now can’t wait to share that secret and the BalletBums adventure with you!
“BalletBums couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. I love how versatile the classes are and the fact that anyone, any shape and any size can participate and realise how great ballet is for the body and the mind.”

“Once you are at the barre that it is all you concentrate on, so all of the every day baggage has to be left at the door. Corrections are given without humiliation! I always feel energised after class and just wish I could start every day with 60mins in Emily’s studio!””
