I started Ballet at the age of 2. By age 7 I was training in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Greek, National, Singing & Acting at The Geraldine Lois Theatre school. I went on to train at Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts on a scholarship, gaining a National Diploma in Dance and Theatre Performance. My professional career includes many pantomimes, plays, films, backing dancer and cruises with Jean Ann Ryan Productions. After having 2 children I made the transition to my second passion which is fitness as well as teaching Ballet classes. I became an exercise to music instructor and went on to teach Spin, Aqua, Skiptrix, Piloxing, Aerobics, Les Mills Body Combat, Body Attack and Body Step. I then opened my own studio ‘The Art of Sweat’. I gained PTLLS Level 3 and an Assessing qualification to train new instructors in Exercise to Music. I then went on to become an assessor for Les Mills in Body Combat. After 10 years in the fitness industry I decided to hang up my trainers and focus on my first passion which is dance. I have been teaching Ballet for over 10 years and now teach Adult Ballet & Tap along with Ballet, Tap & Jazz for Fi Steps Performing Arts. I am also Vice Principal at The Pauline Quirke Academy in Crawley. I’m so happy I found BalletBums. I have been looking for a dance based workout to train in and this is just perfect. It combines my passion for Ballet with my passion for fitness. I’m also excited to get my trainers back on for a sweat class! BalletBums is easy to follow and is for everyone! I can’t wait to get started. You will sweat, you will smile and you will be satisfied. Come and join me for some fun. I can’t wait to introduce you to BalletBums!
