Bio.
I started ballet aged 3 and quickly fell in love with everything to do with dance and music and it wasn’t long before my poor mother was being taxi to something after school every night.
Thanks (again!) to my amazing parents I went on to train at both Arts Educational schools (Tring and Chiswick) which gave me an intense dance training and a diploma in musical theatre. I then managed to have a career in musical theatre with West End shows including Mamma Mia, Saturday night fever, Mary Poppins, Elf the musical, Big, Top Hat and Jersey Boys.
Since becoming a mum I have desperately missed performing and dancing but also have been trying to find that work/life balance, still doing something I love but not necessarily eight shows a week….and then I found BalletBums.
The thought of being able to introduce ballet technique to people who might have always wanted to try it but never knew how or where to go was so appealing. Take away the leotards and tights and put it into a FUN fitness class and in my eyes it’s a winning combination! To quote Emily, come to learn and burn!
“BalletBums couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. I love how versatile the classes are and the fact that anyone, any shape and any size can participate and realise how great ballet is for the body and the mind.”

“I am not a gym person but these are so much fun. Small class size and her expert tips makes these session so effective! If you’re looking to tone up, get some regular exercise, or just generally have fun with your workout then come and give this a try.”

“Once you are at the barre that it is all you concentrate on, so all of the every day baggage has to be left at the door. Corrections are given without humiliation! I always feel energised after class and just wish I could start every day with 60mins in Emily’s studio!””
