Hailing from Dublin, Kelsey first put on her ballet shoes at the age of 5, igniting a love and passion for dance that would last a lifetime. She went on to perform in the Irish National Youth Ballet before being awarded a scholarship to study at Bird College in Kent. After graduating, she spent 8 happy years touring the world in musicals such as Thriller Live, Oklahoma and Starlight Express. Due to the intense physical nature of some of the shows she performed in, Kelsey’s focus shifted to caring for, and maintaining a healthy, injury-free body through exercise, and in 2014, she gained a Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training. A move to the South of France saw her heading up a corporate fitness initiative for a team of 70+, leading group sessions and creating motivational company exercise incentives. Now back in London, Kelsey has set her own personal training company called The Exercise Creative and she is excited to include BalletBums as part of its fitness offering. The BalletBums ethos of making exercise enjoyable, fun, safe and accessible to all aligns with her own, and becoming a BalletBums instructor is the perfect way for Kelsey to combine her group training experience with her dance background.
